Pineknot III 2007

Spaces were again reserved at Camp Tonkawa Springs for our third rally—October 4-7, 2007. We ended up with sixty-four units registered. Of course not all showed up, but it was obvious that PineKnot was provoking more and more interest. We were fearful that we would be over-taxing the facilities and at one point had asked people to stop registering. However, everything held up, but discussions were had regarding our finding another campground for 2008.

At 2 PM Thursday, October 4, several of us watched The Long Long Trailer, a movie with Desi and Lucy. After a hotdog supper/weenie-roast that evening, Paul Bostick entertained us with his mountain dulcimer.

On Friday morning, we spent our time visiting as well as trying our hand at Bolo Golf. That afternoon, State Trooper Greg Sanches spoke to a group of us and answered our questions about traffic laws and safety. After the potluck that night, we again enjoyed hearing the Crime Stoppers Band.

Saturday saw us again at Barnhill’s, followed by the usual Tour of Eggs. Tom again led the Dutch Oven Demo, with assistance from Geary Gowins.
